Sigma Mu Omega
History | Traditions
Sigma Mu Omega is the
first Jewish sorority at the University of Oregon and is growing strong. Our
group was founded in the fall of 2003 with six young women who wanted
to be a part of a unified Jewish women’s organization. As
of the winter of 2007, we have over 40 members and are becoming more involved with Greek Life on campus by just becoming an associate member of the UO Panhellenic Council. This exciting transition allows us to be more involved with other fraternities and sororities on campus, while maintaining our individuality and our own rituals and traditions.
